The Special in Especially Confections - Cupcakes, Cookies

Our Philosophy

At Especially Confections, we believe in helping you to nurture family and friends by giving them delicious gourmet cookies and custom cupcakes. Your order will help to brighten someone’s day by saying this is especially for you.  We take pride in our attention to detail but believe that you should take the credit! Do our products looked like they’re made at home instead of mass-produced? Exactly! We only take Custom Orders and can help create your dessert table

Our Heritage

My family simply just loves to bake, and this passion  inspired Especially Confections. Our recipes have been passed down from Mom, Aunts, friends and family. We are a student of many famous bakers, and continue to hone our techniques and skills for new flavors and designs.

Background in Hospitality and Sustainability


I am a local maker who bakes gourmet cookies and custom cupcakes from scratch in my kitchen under cottage food, Ohio regulations. I use organic unbleached flour and Crystal Springs cage-free eggs certified by American Humane, United Egg Producers, and SQF. I flavor with real lemon juice, emulsions or extracts. My cupcake liners are natural unbleached and water-based. I line my baking sheets with wood pulp parchment paper. The tools I use are stainless steel or glass bowls, cups and wood spatulas- no plastics. As a former BnB host, the Cuyahoga Valley Inn, I received my Ohio R-Serving certification for proper food handling. We believe in a no waste kitchen so all ingredients are used for product. My favorite hack - all egg shells are ground to provide calcium rich nutrients for my garden!  Any product made in advance is fresh frozen until the day before the event or shipping reducing refrigeration. I have sustainability credentials by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) and for client education will provide display signage of sustainable practices.
